This Act lays down the competence of the authorities in the field of identification and registration of animals and other issues related to identification and registration of animals. The present Act is composed of the following eight Sections: General provisions (sect. 1); Computer database (sect. 2); Registration of places where animals are kept, where eggs are kept, where animal carcasses are processed and burned (sect. 3); Identification means, ear tags containing individual sow identification numbers and electronic cards (sect. 4); Identification and registration of animals (sect. 5); Supervision and control in the field of animal identification and registration (sect. 6); Penalty and criminal provisions (sect. 7); Changes in provisions (sect. 8); Transitional, adaptive and final provisions (sect. 9).
