The purpose of this Agreement shall be to develop the consumer's culture of the population, the skills of reasonable and responsible consumption, by spreading knowledge about the rights and obligations of the consumer, forming the ability to competently select commodities (works, services) and protect their economic interests from unscrupulous (fraudulent) economic entities operating in the territories of the signatory states to this Agreement. The Parties shall cooperate in the following forms: (a) organization and conduct of national and international academic competitions, contests and festivals on the basics of consumer knowledge; (b) creation of special headings, programs in the mass media, disseminating knowledge about the consumers rights, the ways of exercise of rights, as well as related to the consumer properties of goods and services; and (c) information of mass media related to enforcement of consume protection by state bodies and local government.
