This Resolution, consisting of 9 articles, aims to (i) approve the Saline Water Conversion Corporation allocation form; (ii) establish the Water Transmission Company (WTCO), owned by the Saudi Arabian government. Corporation is responsible for the development, implementation, management, operation, and maintenance of water transmission, storage, and support systems across various regions of the Kingdom. WTCO will provide services to both governmental and private sectors, focusing on freshwater storage and transmission. Its responsibilities include (i) developing water transmission and storage systems; (ii) managing and operating water transmission systems; (iii) overseeing support operations; (iv) planning water quantities. The supervisory committee for privatization in the environment, water, and agriculture sector will be granted the powers of the company owner. Additionally, the committee will study the transfer of some or all contracts and activities related to water transmission from the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) to WTCO.
