The Board is tasked with approving the agency's budget and organizational structure, evaluating internal regulations, and overseeing the execution of delegated duties. Board members serve four-year terms, renewable once, and receive stipends for session attendance rather than a fixed salary, with the exception of the executive leadership. Executive management, comprising the Manager and Deputy Manager, is appointed for five-year renewable terms following a proposal by the Minister of Agriculture and approval by the Council of Ministers. Candidates must possess verified expertise in fields such as agricultural chemistry, environmental health, or law, and are subject to stringent conflict-of-interest provisions that prohibit any commercial involvement in the agricultural chemical or seed trade.
