These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 read with section 6(4)(b) of the State Land and River Reserves Act. They apply to state land leased to a foreign state or international organisation for the purpose of building a chancery or an office for the discharge of their official duties. The leased land may be partly used for residential purpose. Further, the Regulations allow state land to be disposed of, at market value or otherwise, to a foreign state or international organisation, for any other purpose. The terms and conditions of lease are laid down. The criteria for termination and renewal of lease agreement are also provided.
