This Notification determines the right technique and hygienic requirements used in the production, preparation, processing, transportation, storage and putting on the market of aromatized wine products and the protection of geographical indications and traditional name of aromatized wine products. This Notification lays down provisions on the features of aromatized wine products; food additives; flavorings and food ingredients with flavoring properties; enzymes; contaminants; pesticide residues; veterinary drug residue limits; hygiene; packaging and labeling; transport and storage; sampling and analysis methods; and administrative sanctions. This Notification is drafted in line with the Regulation (EU) No 251/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 February 2014 on the definition, description, presentation, labelling and the protection of geographical indications of aromatised wine products.
The provisions of this Notification are governed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
