The date of the High-level segment is still under discussion with the host country. The presence of Executive Director or Deputy Executive Director is recommended due to the importance of the Ramsar Convention in the negotiation of post-2020 biodiversity framework, potential theme of UNEA-4 and the work of UN Environment on wetlands ecosystem.
