8th Steering Committee Meeting of the MEA Knowledge Management Initiative 

This year’s meeting will review progress made in the context of the InforMEA Phase II project and consider additional project ideas based on inter-operability, such as the enhanced access to information contained in national communications and reports. Discussions will cover all aspects of the MEA Knowledge Management Initiative's work, including the development of topical and regional sections on InforMEA and MEA websites, the testing of emerging tools and technologies in the area of semantic knowledge management (such as auto-tagging of documents), enhancing the InforMEA E-learning tool and improving overall outreach.

The work so far achieved has been made possible thanks to the support and continuous confidence of the European Union, under its thematic programme for Environment and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources including Energy (ENRTP)/Global Public Goods and Challenges (GPGC) programme.
