The Act, which is composed of five articles, gives the new definition of owner of animals. It establishes that the owner of one pig, kept for domestic needs, is excluded from the obligation of marking, keeping a register and submitting information on livestock to the Register of marked livestock. The Act establishes also provisions concerning marking of livestock and import of livestock from European Union member countries as well as from third countries.
