These Regulations, consisting of six Sections and one Schedule, establish under the Animal Welfare Act 1993, the requirements and standards for domestic poultry exploitation. They specify: egg production programmes, cage egg producer, determination of maximum hen capacity, floor area requirements in general, floor area requirements for certain commercial producers, and infringement notices.
