This Decree regulates the fishing for arctic cod as main catch and bycatch in the areas defined in Act No. 11 of 1925 concerning Svalbard. It provides that Norwegian and Russian commercial fishing vessels may fish quotas of such fish within quotas assigned to each country. Vessels from Poland, EU and Faeroe Islands may fish with an established quota of 15.800 tons. Offences shall be punished in accordance with section 8 and 9 of Act No. 91 of 1976 relating to the Economic Zone of Norway. Assistance in fishing shall be considered as fishing. (5 sections)
