The Decree prohibits in general any fishing for and supply of blue whiting by Norwegian vessels in fisheries territories of other States, international waters, Norwegian waters and the fisheries zone of Jan Mayen. Excepted from the prohibition are a total allowable catch of 250.000 tons in international waters, the Norwegian waters and the fisheries zone of Jan Mayen for vessels that have obtained a license pursuant to decree No. 2185 of 1986.
