This Law establishes legal, economic and organizational principles of the functioning of electric energy market and regulates relations originating in the process of functioning thereof. Electric energy market shall be based upon the following principles: (a) energetic security of Ukraine; (b) security of electric energy supply to consumers, protection of rights and interests thereof; (c) energy efficiency; and (d) independent state regulation. Contracts for operation on electric energy market s
