These Regulations provide additional measures procedures and guidance to rules contained in the Waste Management (Permit and Control) Regulations, 2002 on the recovery and controlled disposal of used batteries and accumulators containing dangerous substances in accordance with Schedule 1. They also make provisions for the control on production and marketing of batteries in Malta.
