The Ministerial decree: (i) lifts the ban on importation of all kinds of living birds and their products from the Republic of South Africa, with the exception of the areas that reported infected cases of birds flu disease; (ii) states that all imported consignments must be submitted to the applied legislation and laws concerning veterinary Quarantine and animal care in the United Arab Emirates; and (iii) provides that the veterinary Quarantine Department of the Ministry shall coordinate with the relevant authorities in the country to implement this decree.
