This Act provides for various aspects of the management of river transport. It includes eleven articles that, among others: (i) state that the Department of River Transport in the Ministry of Transport manages and regulates the transport and river navigation of persons and objects; (ii) define the missions of the Department of River Transport; and (iii) define the conditions to grant a license for the practice of river transport.
