This Regulation creates the Competent Authority for Fisheries Products (ACOPESCA). This Regulation establishes that the primary mission of this institution is to support the Government and other agencies and services through interventions in the matter, in the definition, implementation, monitoring and ensuring compliance with the rules to sanity, legality and quality of fisheries and fish products. ACOPESCA implements Decree-Law No. 9/2002, in order to contribute to achieve the objectives established by the Policy Letter Fisheries, approved by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 17/2014.
