Japan’s updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) sets climate targets aligned with the Paris Agreement and the global 1.5°C goal. It commits to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 60% by FY2035 and 73% by FY2040 from FY2013 levels, aiming for net zero by 2050.
