This Notification lays down the minimum requirements for and certification, duties, authorities and obligations of the technical personnel to be employed in the wastewater treatment facilities, in order to ensure effective and efficient management of the facilities in accordance with the legislation. Wastewater infrastructure facilities directorates, as mentioned in the Regulation on water pollution control, shall be responsible for the management of wastewater treatment facilities. The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization shall inspect these facilities and the persons in charge by checking their documents. The legal persons shall be responsible for the management of wastewater treatment facilities in the industries, including discharge of industrial wastewater, in accordance with the legislation. This Notification sets forth the responsibilities of the personnel in charge in terms of the classification of the wastewater treatment facilities.
