This Regulation determines the methods, contents and related procedures as regards the conduction of official controls on animal feed or feedingstuffs (through monitoring, supervision, verification, audit, inspection, sampling and analysis), including the controls on imported feed.
This text defines the following relevant topics: training of inspectors and contingency plans (contingency plans shall be coordinated with the European Commission and the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health); standards (BDS EN ISO/IEC 17020; and ISO 5725: 1994) and technical and procedural requirements for methods of analysis.
The implementation of this Regulation shall be entrusted to the Executive Director of the National Grain and Feed Service and to the Director General of the National Veterinary Service.
