This Regulation determines the necessary technical rules and defines the correct and permitted manner of use of hunting weapons (firearms) and related ammunition, aimed for authorized hunters that perform hunting activities on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
Hunting weapons within the meaning of this Regulation are divided into different groups as follows: repeater rifles with grooved and smooth barrels; recessed rifles with grooved and smooth tubes and combinations thereof; semiautomatic rifles with grooved and smooth tubes, if so arranged that they can receive a maximum of two charges; leaky tube insert rifles; hunting pistol or a hunting revolver for firing of compassionate shots (not smaller than 7.62 mm caliber).
