These Rules have been drafted in accordance with the provisions of the Law on phytosanitary control, Resolution No. 280 of the Council of Ministers approving the Rules for conducting phytosanitary quarantine inspection and expertise of materials under quarantine control imported into Azerbaijan and intended for export from the republic, and the International Standards Phytosanitary Measures No. 31 on methodologies for sampling of consignments. Phytosanitary requirements within the scope of these Rules include sampling for detailed phytosanitary quarantine inspection and examination of plants and plant products imported into Azerbaijan and intended for export from the republic, the selection of appropriate methods for sampling and sending them to the laboratory.
