The purpose of the present Ordinance is to fight and eradicate the bluetongue disease in Austria. At the outset the Ordinance contains a definition clause relating to the various terms therein employed, such as "bluetongue", "bluetongue emergency plan", "official veterinary", "cleaning and disinfections", etc. The text consists of 12 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Official measures in case of suspect or confirmation of bluetongue in enterprises (2); Divisions in zones, preventive measures for the protection and control zone (3); Final provisions (4).
