This Law defines the conditions and manner for the production and certification, processing, professional control, registration, quality verification and compliance, and marketing of agricultural propagation material (seeds for agricultural plants such as cereals, industrial beet, oilseeds, yarn and other herbs, and forage crops and potatoes).
The Law is divided into XIII Chapters and 88 articles. Chapters are the following: Basic provisions (I); Production of seeds (II); Expert control over the production of seed material (III); Finishing procedure for seeds (IV); Quality (V); Packaging, declaration and labelling (VI); Trade (VII); Import of seeds (VIII); Recognition of varieties of agricultural plants and the registration of varieties of agricultural plants (IX); Control and tests (X); Inspection (XI); Penalty provisions (XII); Transitional and final provisions (XIII).
