The present Act lays down provisions relating to the protection of the people against radiation. Article 1 of the present Act establishes that in order to protect the population the: 1) radioactivity in the environment shall have to be monitored; 2) the exposure of people to radiation and radioactive contamination of the environment shall be kept as low as possible.
