This Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of four articles and three Annexes, is related to the environmentally safe storage of carbon dioxide in order to contribute to the fight against climate change. The development plan of underground storage of carbon dioxide specifies optimal parameters of capacity of underground carbon dioxide storage, including geological conditions, technical capabilities and economic determinants of operation of the landfill, and the expected manner of closing the landfill or mine. The plan defines also measures required for the protection of the environment, public safety and human life and health, including the best available and safe technology of the operation of underground storage of carbon dioxide.
