This Regulation provides for the establishment of Sub-committees for the purpose of making available standard seeds by conducting the functions concerning the production, processing, sales and distribution of seeds in an efficient manner.
Sub-committees shall include: sub-committee for the approval, release and registration of seed varieties; sub-committee for the formulation of plans for the supply of seeds, and for monitoring the production and consumption of seeds; and sub-committee for the determination and management of quality standards.
The Regulation further sets out provisions relating to: the approval, release and registration of seeds; rights of ownership of seeds; seeds authentication; import and export of seeds; etc.
