These Regulations amend the original text as follows: (i) Regulation 3 is amended by adding the definition of “authorisation”, meaning permission granted by the Commission (through registration or a licence) to conduct a practice or activity under the Act; (ii) Regulation 7(3)(d) is amended by deleting the words “radio frequencies (RF) radiation in spectra range 1mm–1000km”; (iii) Regulation 8 is substituted in its entirety, requiring any person intending to use, import, export, transport, or otherwise handle radiation or nuclear material to notify the Commission in writing, providing the prescribed particulars; (iv) Regulation 13 is replaced with a new framework governing the “Modification, suspension and revocation of authorisation”; (v) Regulation 48(5) is amended by adding provisions ensuring that the prescribed dose delivery is consistent with the planning target volume within specified tolerances; subregulations (7) and (8) are further inserted, requiring adequate availability of qualified nuclear medicine physicians, pharmacists, and technologists, and mandating that local radiological procedures be reviewed at approved intervals; (vi) Regulation 59 is amended by inserting subregulation (3), introducing a requirement for licensees or registrants to maintain personnel records relating to the delegation of responsibilities and radiation protection training; (vii) Regulation 78 is amended by adding subregulations (5) and (6), requiring operators of disposal facilities to establish mechanisms ensuring adequate financial resources to fulfil their obligations; (viii) Regulation 79 is amended by inserting subregulations (7) and (8), requiring licensees or registrants to assess the safety of all facilities intended for decommissioning and to select a decommissioning strategy consistent with national policy; (ix) Regulation 99(4) is amended by inserting a new paragraph (c) to ensure coordination among competent authorities responsible for protection and safety in all exposure situations; and (x) the Ninth Schedule is replaced with an updated schedule defining exempted non-ionizing radiation generators.
