This Act provides for the protection of copyrights and related rights. The Act covers the following matters: requirements for protection; eligible works; qualification for protection; protection of economic and moral rights; duration of copyright protection; moral rights; ownership of copyright and assignment of rights; infringement of rights and relating provisions; offences for infringement; exceptions to infringement of copyright, including research and private study, private use, educational use; copyright licensing; rights in performance; technological protection measures and rights management information; voluntary registration of copyrights; application of the provisions of this Act to the territorial sea and the exclusive economic zone of Saint Christopher and Nevis.
