This Code lays down rules as regards the general conditions of criminal liability, classification of crimes, and penalties for the determined offences, including but not limited to: offences against property, ecocide, and corruption. 28th Section is on ecological crimes and lays down penalties for the violation of the rules for environmental protection during the performance of work; violation of the rules on hazardous substances and waste; violation of veterinary rules and established rules for combating diseases and pests; pollution of water, air, land and marine environment; degradation of soils; illegal catching of fish and other aquatic bioresources; violation of the rules for the protection of fish and other aquatic bioresources; illegal hunting; illegal timber logging; destruction or damage to forests and other greenery; violation of the protection regime of specially protected areas.
