This Decision, pursuant to article 4 of the Law on the Protection of Designations of Origin and Geographical Indications of Agricultural Products and Foodstuffs of 2006 to 2023, and articles 24 and 47 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1143 of the European Parliament and of the Council, approves the temporary customary amendments regarding specifications of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Halloumi/Hellim involving companies of sheep and goats products. The Decision concerns: submission of requests by the companies; amendments regarding the increasing in the percentage of feed not originating from the defined geographical area; and the possibility of feeding sheep, goats and cows with roughage not originating exclusively from the defined area.
