This Act provides for the rebuilding, replacing, or repairing, of any buildings or chattels the property of the government destroyed or damaged by fire where the loss is not covered by fire insurance. According to the provisions of the Act, the fund consists in: sums credited, money voted by the Legislature or interest earned by the amount to the credit of the fund. The Act also concerns: interest on fund; transfer of surplus; valuation of securities; charging of premiums to fund; contract of fire insurance; losses chargeable to fund; payment of charge in lieu of premium.
