These Regulations, which consist of three articles, amend the original text by inserting a new regulation after regulation 38A. The new rule concerns trans-fatty acids and prohibits the sale, import, preparation, or advertisement of food products intended for consumers or retail if they contain more than 2 grams of artificial trans fat per 100 grams of fat. This rule does not apply to naturally occurring trans fats found in animal products. The amendment revises the Fifteenth A Schedule, which deals with drug residues. It moves "Colestin" from Table I, where drug residues are listed, to Table II, which lists prohibited drugs.
