This Order, made by the Minister under section 32(1) of the Natural Resources Conservation Authority Act, concerns plastic packaging materials prohibition, and therefore provides for the following measures: specification of commercial quantity; prohibition on use or manufacturing of commercial quantity of any single use plastic, except for the following cases: single use plastics used to maintain public health and for compliance with food safety standards, including packaging used by wholesalers and retailers to distribute raw meat, eggs, flour, sugar, rice or baked goods; single use plastic bags used to package personal effects; manufacture and use of plastic food containers; use by approved persons; cosmetic care or personal care products with specific indications.
