This Notification regulates the Best Available Techniques (BAT) and the BAT-Associated Emission Levels (BAT-AELs) that form the basis of the industrial green transformation (IGT) certification process for enterprises. The purpose of this Notification is to promote industrial green transformation, the circular economy, and decarbonization, as well as the efficient use of resources. Consistent with zero-pollution objectives and applying an integrated pollution prevention and control approach, the Notification aims to prevent and minimize, at source, industrial emissions and waste generation from the waste management sector that cause air, water, soil, noise, and odor pollution, thereby contributing to the comprehensive protection of the environment and human health. Annex 2 sets out the sector-specific Best Available Techniques (BAT) for reducing emissions from waste treatment facilities, ensuring the efficient use of resources, and minimizing waste generation in line with the principles of the circular economy.
