The Plan sets out measures to be applied in cases of suspicion and confirmation of the disease, including notification, sampling, movement restrictions and the establishment of quarantine and control zones. It provides for actions such as the killing of susceptible animals, handling and processing of carcasses and animal products, and cleaning and disinfection of premises, equipment and transport. Additional provisions regulate the management of restricted and surveillance areas, control of animal movements and products, application of vaccination strategies, monitoring of affected areas, and specific measures in situations such as outbreaks in wild animals, slaughterhouses and transport operations.
