This Law, consisting of 24 articles, applies to corruption crimes including bribery, embezzlement of public funds, and abuse of authority. Article 3 establishes an Authority responsible for administrative oversight of public entities, protecting integrity, promoting transparency, and combating corruption. Its responsibilities include investigating violations, receiving and verifying complaints, prosecuting cases, recovering illicit funds, taking precautionary measures, protecting whistleblowers, reviewing public sector procedures, raising awareness, proposing relevant policies, fulfilling international obligations, representing the Kingdom in global forums, organizing related events, studying relevant reports, supporting research, collecting data, and implementing the national anti-corruption strategy. The Authority will be led by a Chairman with the rank of Minister, along with one or more Deputy and Assistant Chairmen, all appointed by Royal Decree. The Chairman will oversee the Authority's functions and manage its administrative, financial, and personnel affairs. The Authority prepares reports that the Chairman submits to the King.
