These Regulations make amendments in Regulations 2 and 5 of the Phoenix Islands Protected Area Regulations 2008. Subsection 3 of the Regulation 2 is amended and new subsection 4 is added related to the objectives of the Regulations on the reflection of the inclusion of the Phoenix Islands Protected Area to the UNESCO World Heritage list and the implementation of the Cabinet decision on the inclusion of Winslow reef in the new Phoenix Islands Protected Area boundaries. Furthermore, Subsections 1 and 3 of the Regulation 5 are amended and new subsection 4 is added regarding the prescription of the Phoenix Islands Protected Area and the World Heritage Site Status.
