This Regulation here determines necessary phytosanitary measures aimed at preventing the introduction and spread of the harmful organism classified as phytopathogenic fungus Ceratocystis platani (J.M. Walter) Engelbr. & T.C. Harr. This text further sets designated procedures for performing special surveillance to determine the presence of such harmful organism. Host plants are plants of the genus Platanus L., other than seeds; host trees are trees of the genus Platanus L. The pest survey card, which is also mentioned in this Regulation, is a card with information for the surveillance of the harmful organism, the phytopathogenic fungus Ceratocystis platani of the European Food Safety Authority. Rules for establishing of a designated area are laid down in article 3. Measures to be undertaken in marked areas are provided in article 4. Technical sheets and lists are given in the Annex.
