1. Takes note of the report of the DDT expert group on the assessment of the production and use of DDT and its alternatives for disease vector control, including the conclusions and recommendations set out therein; the report by the United Nations Environment Programme on the implementation of the road map for the development of alternatives to DDT and the report by the World Health Organization on the use of DDT and DDT alternatives in disease vector control;
