Keep abreast with the last decisions of the Committee, such as:recommending the listing of the chemical hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) under the Convention; initiating risk profiles of two industrial chemicals newly proposed for elimination: chlorinated naphthalenes and hexachlorobutadiene; continuing the assessment of a third chemical, pentachlorophenol (PCP); preparing guidance on alternatives to the pesticide endosulfan and DDT and to the industrial chemical Perfluorooctane sulfonate; developing guidance on evaluating how global warming processes affect the fate, transport and toxicity of POPs.
