The Rotterdam Convention (RC) on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure (PIC) for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade is a legally binding multilateral environmental agreement, which entered into force in 2004. Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia are all Parties to the Rotterdam Convention. They have been identified among Parties in need of technical assistance in the context of the EU-funded Global Public Goods and Challenges project ‘Implementation of activities approved by the Conference of the Parties to the Rotterdam Convention in 2019 for the biennium 2020-2021.
