This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture implements the relevant European Union regulations and lays down generals prinicples of integrated plant protection. The prevention of harmful organisms includes: (a) crop rotation; (b) use of cultivation practices; (c) use of varieties resistant or tolerant to pests and seeds and plants meeting the requirements established by the Act on the marketing of seeds and seedlings; (d) balanced fertilization, liming and water regime; (e) hygiene measures; (f) protection and promotion of beneficial organisms using appropriate plant protection measures. Monitoring of harmful organisms is carried out by observations in the field, warning, forecasting of pests and methods of early treatment or use of advice from professionally qualified advisors.
