This Act establishes the general principles of forest policy and management in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The 54 Articles of the Act are divided into 9 Chapters: General Provisions (I); State Administration of Forests and Forest Plantation Land (II); Forest protection (III); Development of Forest Land and Utilisiation of Forest Plantation Land (IV); Rights and Obligations of Forest Users (V); International Relations and cooperation related to Protection and Development of Forests and to Utilisation of Forests and Forest Plantation Land (VI); The Forest Inspectorate (VII); Rewards and Punishments for Violations (VIII); Final Provisions (IX).
The Council of Ministers shall give detailed instructions for the implementation of this Act and shall issue regulations regarding non-forest land.
This Act establishes the general principles of forest policy and management in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The Act has been passed by the National Assembly on 12 September 1991, and is promulgated by Decree of the State Council No. 58 LCT/HDNN8.
