This Regional Act lays down provisions to put the regional legislative framework in line with European Community provisions on the conservation of natural habitats and wildlife species, including the protection of wild birds. The Act defines the planning and executive competences of the regional authorities and sets out protection measures. Specific provisions concern the management and preservation of Nature 2000 sites. The Annex lists out types of wetlands of regional interest.
