The purpose of this Regulation is to define the principles of protection, management and development of wetlands and their habitats in Turkey’s land borders and the continental shelf. This Regulation also defines the principles of cooperation and coordination between government agencies and organizations. This Regulation also covers the establishment of the National and Provincial Wetland Commissions. The provisions of this Regulation shall not be applied to wadi.
