The provisions of this Regulation apply to the receipt, collection, recovery and other treatment of waste originating from electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), however does not apply to batteries (although batteries here are understood as an electrical power source consisting of one or more cells in which electricity is generated by the direct transmission of chemical energy).
