This is a short amendment of section 56A of the principal Act whose objective is to further regulate the abstraction of water from public streams of which the natural flow is artificially augmented. The Act, in fact, empowers the Minister to prohibit the abstraction of public water from streams whose flows are augmented by effluent discharges of various origins.
