Published:
April 24, 2009
Description:
One of the key obligations under the Convention is the development of a national implementation plan (NIP) which describes the measures to be taken to meet the Convention’s requirements. NIP development in Barbados was undertaken as part of a UNEP pilot project and funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the government of Germany. The national focal point and implementing agency for the project was the Evironmental Protection Department (EPD), Ministry of Energy and the Environment, which was supported in this work by a multi-sectoral National Coordinating Committee.
