One of the key obligations under the Convention is the development of a national implementation plan (NIP) which describes the measures to be taken to meet the Convention’s requirements. NIP development in Barbados was undertaken as part of a UNEP pilot project and funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the government of Germany.
