Endosulfan was included in the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in May 2011. The fifth Conference of the Parties then adopted an amendment to phase-out endosulfan globally by listing in Annex A. The provisions in the Convention related to endosulfan entered into force on 27 October 2012. The regulatory framework and measures taken to phase-out endosulfan is described in this update of the Swedish NIP.
